If your name has been updated with Records and Registration, your new CSCC login will be available for discovery by the end of the next business day. Blackboard access with your new login will not be available until the morning after your login is created.
Security notice:
- Enroll in Multi-Factor Authentication with Duo to protect your account.
- Changing passwords every 90 days is recognized as a best practice for keeping good security on an account.
- Columbus State will never send an email asking for username and password verification.

Step 1: Go to http://password.cscc.edu and click the Discover / Activate button to:
- Discover your username
- Activate your account for the first time
- Create a new password or update a forgotten password.

- Enter your Cougar ID number or full Social Security Number and then your last name, then click Discover.
* if your last name has a hyphen or space, leave them out letters, and lowercaseEnter your last name in all

- Identity verification:
- If you already set up security questions, you will be asked to answer them.
be sure to type in all lowercase and leave out any spaces.

- If this is your first time, you will be asked your date of birth​.
follow the format mm/dd/yyyy
Step 2: Once you have verified your identity, your Login Name and Cougar ID will show in a blue box at the top of the page and you can set a new password and secret questions below.
You do not have to change your password or secret questions if you already know them. However, it is recommended that you reset your password every 90 days to keep your account secure.

Password complexity requirements:
- Password has not been used before
- 8 to 60 characters in length
- begins with a letter
- at least 1 upper case letter
- at least 1 lower case letter
- at least 1 number
- No special characters
- Click Update at the bottom to save changes, or Cancel to exit.
