What is a "Computer Refresh"?
As part of the Computer Refresh initiative, Columbus State IT is identifying and replacing out-of-date computers. These computers are approaching the end of their support lifecycle, may no longer meet our performance standards, and/or they aren't able to support the required upgrade to Windows 11.
Overview
- Employees with eligible devices will be contacted to inform them that they will receive a new desktop or laptop computer that includes Windows 11.
- If you have a Dell Desktop PC, you may be scheduled to receive a One Device laptop kit that meets the latest hardware and software requirements.
- If you receive a new computer, your current desktop or laptop will need to be returned during the refresh period.
- Eligible employees will be able to schedule an equipment pickup (or request installation if they are moving from a desktop computer to a OneDevice laptop kit).
- If you have any questions, please reach out to your department's Executive Point-of-contact (POC).
