What are IT Equipment Lockers?
Columbus State IT equipment can be returned using the lockers located in the basement of Union Hall. Employees can drop off broken or unneeded equipment or return equipment when an employee is leaving the College.

Schedule an equipment drop off/return by contacting the IT Support Center by phone, email, or online support ticket.

- Wait for an email notification: This email will contain your parcel number for the lockers in UN-006. You will need this email to drop off IT equipment.
- Bring your employee badge to campus with you as it will be needed to gain access to the building and room
On-campus: Accessing UN-006
- You may park your vehicle in a reserved space in lot 34, adjacent to Union (UN) and Delaware Halls (DE) (see this campus map for reference). Marked spaces will be on the west side of the lot closest to Union Hall. Maximum parking duration is 30 minutes.
- Enter Union Hall via the south tower entrance (double sliding door across from TL). UN-006 is straight down this hallway on the right.
- Hold your badge near the proximity reader to unlock the door. The light on the reader will turn green when unlocked.
Note: Your badge must have a black proximity sticker (like a small puck) for the reader to work.
- If you have trouble opening the door, please contact the CSCC Police Department at 614-287-2525 to gain access to the room.
- The smart lockers are available at various heights and are assigned randomly to users. If you need to request a locker below 48” for any reason, please contact IT Support Services at 614-287-5050 for assistance prior to coming to campus. You will not be asked to disclose the reason for your request and appropriate steps will be taken to accommodate you.
Using the lockers
Follow these steps to drop off equipment using the console and lockers in UN-006.

Locate the console, and touch the screen to start.

On the console, select Drop off.

Console drop off steps
1 - Warning
Accept conditions by pressing the
Confirm button.
Note: if you would like a lower box that is easier to reach, check the box on this screen that says,
I need an accessible box.

2 - Parcel N*
Enter parcel number provided by ITAM on the keypad OR use QR code, and press
Confirm.

3 - Email
Enter your email address to get an email receipt.

4 - Select size
Select a box size to fit your return. A locker door will open when size is chosen.
- Small (15.5" x 4.5")
- Medium (15.5" x 9.5")
- Large (15.5" x 24.5")
- Extra Large (15.5" x 37")

5 - Drop parcel
- Place equipment into the open locker.
- Close the locker door when done.
If changes need to be made the options (at the bottom of the Drop parcel screen) include:
- Re-Open Locker - Use if assets need to be added or removed.
- Change Size - Use if assets do not fit in selected locker.
- Report as Dysfunctional - Use if locker is not opening.

- Once correct assets have been placed in locker and no changes are needed, return to the center console and Confirm the drop off.

Finish when complete.
