How to use the US Bank viewer VMware workstation to access, load and export historical bank check images

 


Location of Certificate Key

  1. On the virtual machine, navigate to C:\Users\Documents\BankViewerFiles for the certificate key file.

Error Messages and Actions

  1. Load Volumes. The application is unable to find volume #.
    • This error is caused when trying to search for a volume (CD) that is no longer in the CD rom. Delete the existing volumes from the application and import a new CD for searching.
       
  2. When logging in as "User" the US Bank Media Viewer will not open.
    • Login to the US Bank Media Viewer as vlewis6 or another admin account.
    • Click on Admin then User Administration.
    • Delete the User account by clicking on User and then click Delete.
    • Confirm deletion by clicking Delete.
    • Click Add to add a new user account. Name the account 'user' and enter the password. Click Add.
    • Click Administer shared searches, Administer products, and Administer volumes. Click Apply to save all changes. Logout and test the new user account.
       
  3. Error starting the VMware Virtual Desktop.
    • "The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file
    • Cannot open the disk 'C:\Windows 10 x32\Windows 10 x32.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on."
      • navigate to the folder C:\Windows 10 x32
      • Delete the lock folder Windows 10 x32.vmdk.lck
      • Restart the application
