Blackboard: Why Aren't My Courses Showing?

If you are trying to find out what books you need before your course is available in Blackboard, check with the Columbus State Bookstore

If you can't log in to Blackboard, see this article for help: Why Can't I Log in?

Why is my course not showing in Blackboard?

You have registered for classes at Columbus State. You log into Blackboard and one or more of your classes are not there. Why? When will they show up?

Here are some steps to help you find the answer and common reasons for this situation:

Courses for an upcoming term will be made available to students 4 days before the start of the course. This is after the fee payment deadline has passed. Until this point, instructors can still make changes and updates to the course.

Check the Start Date of your course to determine when you will have access to the course in Blackboard.

Are you still registered for the course? Did you pay your fees?

Log into Self-Service and check your schedule (Academics > Add & Drop Classes / View Schedule). Students may be dropped for non-payment of fees, non-attendance, or not meeting a prerequisite requirement. If you are no longer registered for the course, then you will need to address the cause of the drop and re-register before it can become available in Blackboard.
If you registered today and your course has already started or is about to start (within the next four days), then you will be able to view your course in Blackboard after 3:00 AM tomorrow morning. Blackboard access will update overnight.
