What is the Blackboard calendar?
Blackboard's calendar shows course due dates, project deadlines, or any other events the instructors have added. If you would like to see those events in a third party calendar app, you can set that up to sync.

How do I share events from Blackboard to a personal calendar?
Important syncing info:
- The third party calendar refresh rate depends on the client you use. Updates can take up to 48 hours to sync.
- The calendar will include dates from all of your courses. There's no way to sync just specific courses.
Step 1 - Get Blackboard calendar link
- Select Calendar in the menu on the left (on a phone, click the menu icon to view the menu).
- Select Calendar Settings icon in the upper right.
- Click on the ellipsis next to the Calendar Settings heading.
- Select Share Calendar.
- in the pop-up window, Copy the calendar link.
Step 2 - Paste link (URL) in third party application
Open your preferred third party application (such as Apple Calendar or Google Calendar) and follow these steps:
Apple Calendar
- With Calendar open, click File > New Calendar Subscription...
- In the Calendar URL field, paste the link from step 4 above.
- Set the calendar to auto-refresh regularly so you do not miss any changes.

Google Calendar
WARNING: Google only updates changes every 12 - 48 hours. Always check Blackboard Calendar for the most up-to-date information.
- Look for Other Calendars on the left, and click the plus sign next to it.
- Select From URL from the menu.
- In the URL of calendar field, paste the link from step 4 above.

Other third party calendar
- Look for a menu option to add or subscribe to a calendar URL.
- When it asks for the URL, paste the link from step 4 above.
Why is my calendar not updating? If anything is changed in the Blackboard calendar, it can take up to 48 hours to sync to an outside calendar app. Always check Blackboard Calendar for the most up-to-date information.
