How do I print to campus printers from my Columbus State owned Mac?
These instructions are only for CSCC-owned Macs and will not work for personal devices.
If you're using a personal device, refer to the article: Mobile Printing for printing instructions.
1) Check setup
- Make sure your Mac is a CSCC-owned device. (see above)
- Make sure the Mac is connected to the CSCC Network.
- It can be hard-wired or wireless
- If printing from off campus, first connect to the CSCC network using Cisco Secure Client
- Discover what version of macOS you're on, then follow add a printer instructions below.
2) Install FollowMe printer
If you're unsure which version you have, see What version of macOS do I have?
macOS 15 and newer
- Go to Apple Menu > System Settings.
- Select Printers & Scanners from the bottom of the list on the left.
- Locate EMPRINT-FollowMe in the list on the right.
- Select EMPRINT-FollowMe (do NOT choose STPRINT - this is for students)
- For Use: select Make this printer default.
- Now when you print, it will default to selecting EMPRINT-FollowMe as the printer.
3) Print to FollowMe Printer
When you print a document, be sure to select the FollowMe printer from the list of available printers.
Finally, go to an available printer on campus, log in with your Columbus State credentials, and release the print job.
