Install Jabber: macOS

Installation

1. Download Cisco Jabber for Mac (will prompt you to log in).


2. Double-click the CiscoJabberSetup-Mac.zip file and then the unzipped .pkg file to start the Cisco Jabber installer wizard.


3. When the Welcome screen displays, click Continue.


4. Read the license agreement if you wish and click Continue. Click Agree to accept the terms of the license agreement and continue with the installation.


5. You may be prompted to select the disk where you want to install Jabber. Select your hard drive and then click Continue.


6. Click Install to perform the standard installation.


7. At the prompt, enter your account password for the Mac and click Install Software.


8. When the software has finished installing, click Close.

Jabber setup

 Sign In

1. To launch Jabber, open your Applications folder and double-click the Cisco Jabber.app icon.
   
2. Enter your full CSCC email address, and click Continue.
    
3. Enter your password and click Sign In.
   
4. After logging in, you may get a pop up message to Update Credentials - click Update.
   
   1. Or, if you don't get that pop-up, you can update Voicemail credentials by clicking on the Voicemail icon, then Account preferences.
      
5. Log in with username and password, then click Apply.
   
6. Then you will see your Voicemails listed.

 Turn Video OFF by Default

1. Go to Jabber > Preferences...

2. Click on the Calls tab, then uncheck "Always start my calls with video."

 Sign Out

Click Jabber in the menu bar and then click Sign Out
