Profile Information in Workday

You can verify or update the information in your Workday profile. Your information can be found in two places:

• Personal information (Including name, date of birth, gender, ethnicity)
  • Jump to:  How do I change or verify my name and personal information?
     
• Contact information (How can you be contacted?)
  • Jump to: How do I change my address, phone number, or personal email?
     

Personal information

How do I change or verify my name and personal information?

1. Go to your Profile in Workday by selecting the Person icon in the top right corner.
2. Select View Profile.
3. Select Personal on the left.

Names

Legal Name

If you want to change your Legal Name in the system, you must first change it legally.

Note: Documentation is required. Upload a copy of your current/valid government-issued photo ID with the requested name AND a copy of the associated document(s) that verify your name change, such as a marriage certificate, divorce decree, and/or court order of legal name change.

Preferred Name

Your Preferred Name is what shows in Blackboard, email, and other things related to Columbus State. For more information, see: Chosen Name. 

Note: Some CState services are required to use your Legal Name. Setting a Preferred Name will not update your Legal Name.

Personal Information

If any information is incorrect, click the Edit button towards the top and update the information. Certain things will require verification.

IDs

Add government IDs, such as Social Security Number (SSN) or U.S. Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

There is space below to add an attachment for ID verification.

Documents

Add or review relevant documents.

Contact information

How do I change my address, phone number, or personal email?

1. Go to your Profile in Workday by selecting the Person icon in the top right corner.
2. Select View Profile.
3. Select Personal on the left.
4. Click Edit towards the top of this page to update your address, phone number, or email address.
