What is the Blackboard calendar?

Blackboard's calendar shows course due dates, project deadlines, or any other events the instructors have added. If you would like to see those events in a third party calendar app, you can set that up to sync.

How do I share events from Blackboard to a personal calendar?

Important syncing info:

  • The third party calendar refresh rate depends on the client you use. Updates can take up to 48 hours to sync.
  • The calendar will include dates from all of your courses. There's no way to sync just specific courses.

Step 1 - Get Blackboard calendar link

  1. Select Calendar in the menu on the left (on a phone, click the menu icon  to view the menu).
     
  2. Select Calendar Settings icon in the upper right.
     
  3. Click on the ellipsis  next to the Calendar Settings heading.
     
  4. Select  Share Calendar.
     
  5. in the pop-up window, Copy the calendar link.

Step 2 - Paste link (URL) in third party application

Open your preferred third party application (such as Apple Calendar or Google Calendar) and follow these steps:


 

 

Why is my calendar not updating? If anything is changed in the Blackboard calendar, it can take up to 48 hours to sync to an outside calendar app. Always check Blackboard Calendar for the most up-to-date information.
