InformaCast: Emergency Notification

Both physical and virtual computers on premise will receive alerts in the InformaCast Desktop Notifier, found in the Taskbar.
Note: If your device is off campus, you may see a message that "DNS Configuration Failed" and the icon will then be red, rather than blue.

Notifications may be different colors, based on their severity. Emergency notifications will be in red and will include audio of the message. 

• If there is an audio component, you can Stop Audio or Mute.
   
• If there are details, click the Show Details button to view them.
   
• Once you have read the message, click the 'X' to close. Note: alerts do not close on their own.

All Mac computers on premise will receive alerts in the InformaCast Desktop Notifier, found in the Menu bar at the top-right of your screen.

Note: If your device is off campus, you may see a message that "SLP Configuration Failed" and the icon will then be grey, rather than white.

Notifications may be different colors, based on their severity. Emergency notifications will be in red and will include audio of the message. 

• After you have read the message, you can Quit out of the notification. Note: alerts do not close on their own.

All Cisco desk or classroom phones that have a screen will receive alerts. Note: these notifications will not appear through Jabber
