IP Conflict Error on Windows

Method 1

Reboot the computer.


Method 2

  1. Click the Magnifying Glass by the Start Menu so the search bar shows


     
  2. Type: troubleshooting and press Enter on your keyboard
     
  3. In the search box, type: internet connection
     
  4. Double click the internet connection result that appears
     
  5. Follow the on screen wizard to see if it can attempt to fix your problem

Method 3

(Must have admin rights, contact the IT Support Center at x5050)

  1. Click the Magnifying Glass by the Start Menu so the search bar shows


     
  2. Type: CMD, then right click on Command Prompt in the results window and click Run as administrator


     
  3. At the command prompt, enter: ipconfig/release
     
  4. Then enter: ipconfig/renew
     
  5. Then enter: ipconfig/flushdns
     
  6. Enter exit to close the command prompt, and restart the computer

Method 4

(Must have admin rights, contact the IT Support Center at x5050)

  1. Same first two steps of method 3
     
  2. Enter ipconfig /registerdns without quotes and press enter
