The Engineering Technology Work Study program is a unique opportunity that allows eligible students to complete an Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology while holding a paid, part-time position for three consecutive semesters with a local manufacturer or logistics company.
By completing this application, I am acknowledging that I understand the following:
- To be considered for a work study position, students must have completed a set of introductory courses and remain in good academic standing.
- Student will also need to successfully complete required career readiness activities (e.g. workshops, resume review appointment, mock interviews).
- Work study positions are not guaranteed and are offered on a competitive basis through an interview process directly with partnering companies. Students must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Columbus State Community College may share personal and academic information with potential employers on my behalf.
By completing this application, I am committing to:
- Complete an Associate of Applied Science in Engineering Technology from Columbus State Community College.
- Enroll in a cohort-specific or selected section of COLS 1100 course.
- Attend the program specific summer orientation.
- Attend regular meetings with the program-specific academic advisor and opt-in to text message reminders.
- Complete three consecutive semesters of work, if chosen for a work study position.
- Participate in program recruitment and outreach activities.
- Provide academic and employment documentation as requested.
