If you are interested in an internship opportunity or it is a completion requirement for your academic program, you are encouraged to begin your preparation three months before the academic term in which you will be enrolled in the internship.
Please ensure that you have taken all the proper steps and actions before you explore the internship program.
The first step in this process is to complete the Internship Application below.
This information will be submitted to the Internship Program Coordinator for review.
Once processed, the coordinator will send you additional information to assist you in your internship search.
Student Consent to Disclose Information
Columbus State Community College complies with The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) governing student records (including information on grades, billing, tuition and fees assessments, financial records, and other student record information). The College does not disclose student records or information to anyone (including a student’s parents or guardians, spouse, or sponsor) without the student’s written consent. For more information you can view the Student Rights under FERPA that are published in the Columbus State College Catalog and the U.S. Department of Education's FERPA website.
I understand that by signing below, I am authorizing Columbus State to disclose to a third party information that would otherwise be confidential. I understand that when my education records are made available to the third party, the College has no control over the use that third party makes of the records that are released and accessible to them. I understand that I am not legally obligated to provide this consent and that I may withdrawal my consent at any time. To withdraw consent, I shall send a written request to the Columbus State office of Employer Engagement and Experiential Learning office at ExperientialLearning@cscc.edu. This consent expires in when I am no longer enrolled in the Columbus State Community College Internship program.
I voluntarily consent to the disclosure and discussion with potential employers, companies partnering with Columbus State to provide work study positions for the Internship program, of my education records, including resumes, grades, courses, and grade point average (GPA) for the purpose of securing job interviews and potential employment.
