What is the Content Editor?

The Blackboard Content Editor appears nearly everywhere you can input text - discussion boards, assignments, tests, journals, conversations, and messages.

Wherever you can add and format text in your course, you can launch the math editor to create mathematical formulas.
You can add links, attachments, images, and other content in the content editor for a submission using the menu items:

Helpful Tips

  • The editor appears in most places you can add text.
     
  • When you open the editor on a small screen, the options condense into menus or second line menus that will remain open until you select the menu again or select a different option menu, for easy access.
     
  • To use your keyboard to jump to the editor toolbar, press Alt + F10. On a Mac, press Fn + ALT + F10.
