OneDrive: Submitting Large Files on Blackboard

Share by using "Copy link"

This method can be used if you have a file to submit in Blackboard that exceeds the size limit.

To learn more about using OneDrive, see OneDrive: Managing Files.

  1. Go to the OneDrive website and sign in with your CSCC account.

  2. Pick the file or folder you want to share by selecting its circle icon.
Note: Sharing multiple items at the same time is not available for OneDrive for work or school accounts.

This will look slightly different depending if you're using tile view or list view:
how it looks in tile view and list view

  1. Select Share next to the item, or at the top of the page.

  2. Click the down chevron and select Link Settings.

Send link page with chevron highlighted with "Link settings" showing in the pop-up menu

  3. Change the link settings:

    1. Who would you like this link to work for?

    • Recommended - select Specific people and enter your instructor's email address, (find an email address using the campus directory) because this is the most secure way to share.

    • If you have problems sharing that way, you can select Anyone with the link for this setting.

    1. Other settings

    • Recommended - check the box to Allow editing and turn on Open in review mode only. This allows instructors to leave feedback on your paper (only for .docx files).

    1. Click Apply at the bottom.

    • link settings page asking who you want the link to work for, with "Apply" button at the bottom

  4. Under Copy link click Copy.

link is highlighted in the text box, with blue "Copy" button next to it

  5. Paste the link into the Text Submission section of the assignment submission page.
