Not hearing sound in classroom

Where's the sound?

If you can't hear any sound when audio is playing in a smart classroom, there are a few places to check that the volume is not muted or turned down:

  • Extron panel
  • Computer desktop
  • Video/audio playback tool


Extron panel

Ensure that the volume on the panel is turned up

Computer desktop

Click the audio icon (bottom right, next to the date and time) and ensure that the volume is turned up.

  • Also check that ExtronScalerD is selected for the output.
    If ExtronScalerD isn't selected, click the up chevron on the right, and select it from the list.

Video / audio playback tool

Check the volume in the app that is playing the video (YouTube, embedded videos, Windows Media Player, VLC or PowerDVD).
