Classic SharePoint has been around for several years, it is being phased out because Modern SharePoint functions significally better on mobile devices. Some examples of Classic SharePoint sites that you may have access to include, Achievement Analytics, Reports.cscc.edu and the Assessment sites for A&S, BET & H&HS.
